Sean Buchholz: Executive Director

Age: 21
Major: Economics
Hometown: Wildwood, Missouri
Semester in STRIPES: 6th

Why do you think students should join STRIPES?

STRIPES isn’t just a group of students that love to give back to the community; we are also a family that allows for peers to form lifelong friendships at Mizzou. I can guarantee that if you join STRIPES and actively try to make friends, your social circle will grow quickly. Plus, there have been over 50 marriages that have come out of STRIPES from members that have met each other in the program and have fallen in love throughout our many years of existence. Not only does STRIPES look great on a resume and is a fun way to give back to the community, but perhaps you’ll meet the love of your life by volunteering – you’ll never know if you don’t join!

Allie

Allie Campbell: Assistant Director

Age: 20
Major: Health Sciences
Hometown: Algonquin, IL
Semester in STRIPES: 5th

Why did you apply for the exec board? What made you apply for the position that you are currently in?

I applied for the exec board because I wanted to give back to the organization that has giving so much to me as a member. Every semester the exec board is the heart of the organization and kept their members in mind with every important decision. I want to serve as that liaison for general members while improving the organization as whole.

brock

Brock McCarty: Risk Management Coordinator

Age: 21
Major: Accounting
Hometown: Millstadt, Illinois
Semester in STRIPES: 7th

Why did you join STRIPES?

I joined STRIPES simply because I wanted to make an impact on the Mizzou community by providing a safe way home or out of a bad situation. Its great getting to know people, whether it is our great members or our patrons. Every night is different and full of great experiences, so you can always count on a great time and some great stories to tell!

Age: 21
Major: Print/Digital Investigative Journalism
Hometown: Oro Valley, AZ
Semester in STRIPES: 2nd

Describe your favorite night of STRIPES that you have volunteered for so far and why it was your favorite.

It’s tough to narrow it down to one night, but if I had to pick just one, I would say it was probably the night we were filming a STRIPES video and had a dance party on the top floor of Virginia Avenue Garage. It was a pretty slow night and all the cars were up there at the same time. We turned up the music and all of us just got out of our cars and danced!

Megan

Megan Molinsky: Member and Community Engagement Coordinator

Age: 20
Major: Strategic Communications & English
Hometown: Edmond, OK
Semester in STRIPES: 2nd

Why do you think students should join STRIPES?

Anyone with a passion for safety who wants to make a ton of new friends should consider joining STRIPES. Everyone is super welcoming and every night you volunteer, you are guaranteed to have fun!

Tyler

Tyler Parton: Membership Coordinator

Age: 21
Major: Communications
Hometown: Jefferson City, MO
Semester in STRIPES: 5th

Why should students take STRIPES?

There is little to no way to get college students to stop going to bars and drinking, but what we can do is promote safety while they’re doing it. Students should take STRIPES as a responsibility to other people here in Columbia to ensure that drivers are sober and the roads are safe. STRIPES is an easy, safe, and (most importantly) FREE way to get home after a night out, and I think it’s something everyone should take advantage of.

Devon

Devon Bennett: Team Leader Coordinator

Age: 20
Major: Health Sciences
Hometown: Salisbury, MO
Semester in STRIPES: 3rd

Why did you join STRIPES?

I love to help others. I knew I wanted to join an organization that truly cares about Mizzou students, while also keeping the community of Columbia in mind!

Chase

Chase Beamer: Nightly Operations Manager

Age: 21
Major: Secondary Education and Mathematics
Hometown: Platte City, MO

Why should students take STRIPES?

We have the grooviest of tunes and a great time in all the cars. We are nonjudgemental and love to hear about your night and have karaoke in the cars.

Griffen Leininger: Nightly Operations Manager

Age: 21
Major: Marketing
Hometown: Lamar, MO
Semester in STRIPES: 3rd

Describe your favorite night of STRIPES that you have volunteered for so far and why it was your favorite?

Honestly I can’t choose a favorite night because I know every time I walk into the STRIPES house I know it’s going to be different from the last. Because there are so many members and everyone chooses when they work you never work with the same group of people. I love how STRIPES allows you to meet people from every aspect of Mizzou’s campus.

Davis

Davis Parry: Nightly Operations Manager

Age: 20
Major: Finance
Hometown: Liberty, MO
Semester in STRIPES: 3rd

Describe your favorite night of STRIPES that you have volunteered for so far and why it was your favorite.

My favorite nights are when the ride requests start to slow down and cars get sent to the top of Virginia Ave. One time, we blasted Cupid Shuffle and started dancing along to it. Stripes members know how to have a good time!

Jeremiah Wooten: Nightly Operations Manager

Age: 21
Major: Computer Science
Hometown: Franklin, TN
Semester in STRIPES: 5th

Why did you apply for the exec board? What made you apply for the position that you are currently in?

Execs are a huge part of making my experience as a member in STRIPES so positive, and I want to pay that forward. As a Nightly Ops Manager, I’ll get to help craft that same experience for members during operations from the minute they walk in the door through breaking down after the last ride of the night.
